To The Lake With Our “Pool Friends”.

The dark clouds were low but our spirits were high as we headed out to Alberta Beach for our now annual lake gathering at our friends Elizabeth and Guy’s cabin.

So happy to be included in this lovely potluck day and for Terry, 9 holes of golf after lunch.

Not everyone could make it but we still had quite a fine gathering of dear friends at this 100 year old cabin built by Guy’s dad.

When it started to get chilly we went inside to cozy up by the hearth which held a dancing fire and many chairs nearby in which to feel the heat. Terry and I wore our Oilers gear because it was playoff game night number 5 against the Panthers.

It was so great to meet up with these old friends with whom I used to enjoy aquasize classes three times a week. One of the ladies is 91 and all of us are seniors. Well, we did have one young ‘pup’ with us…..Darrell and Karen’s new doggie, ‘Trip’.

It was a lovely feast for lunch and Guy barbequed up his famous sausages which were delicious. Our hostess with the mostess did a great job of making sure we were all fed and watered…ha ha. I was teased for wearing my ‘senior’s bib’ so I suppose I act like a senior!

The golfers did manage to complete their 9 holes before the rains came in too.

Always wonderful to keep friendships alive!
