When Nature WIns

There is a lot of rain in Vancouver. And I mean often…..and a lot!

So with rain comes beautiful foliage and flowers. But it also causes a lot of damage. I had fun looking at how ‘nature’ seemed to be taking over some of the structures in the city….be it overgrown hedges or moldy structures to mossy trees.

I see beauty in the peeling paint and rustic fences. So many colours and textures.

I saw telephone poles that turned into trees, lamp posts that did too. I saw hedges that ate signs and trees and fences that couldn’t withstand the wet weather any longer.

I experienced rain that turned into snow that blanketed fresh flowers, trees that busted through fences, and buildings weighted down by weather too.

What can I say? It’s beautiful in its own way.

Nature will always win.
