Chickacoo Lake
One Sunday I had to cut my usual “Zoom” call short because the weather was just so darned beautiful that we decided to take advantage of it and get outside.
Terry packed us a picnic supper and I randomly chose heading west out of the city and then north. We had absolutely no destination in mind.
We never know what we’ll find when we do that. We might even find large Christmas decorations in autumn!
But as you can see the day was just gorgeous, we didn’t even need sweaters let alone coats. I turned down a random road because I saw the symbol for picnic tables and we found the most beautiful place called “Chickacoo Lake”.
Almost every single table was full with families enjoying meals near the pristine water but we did manage to find one not too far from our car so….bonus….as the ground was quite hilly to get to the lake.
We discovered a retreat centre on the way there that was obviously expanding called Mount Carmel.
Terry and I enjoyed our fave game and his picnic supper was very tasty.
On the way home I had to stop and take a photo with him and a giant “Skelly”.
We were so glad we took advantage of the beautiful day.
We both said we would definitely return!
