Thanksgiving

Although it’s difficult for me to stand for long periods of time I did manage to make and bake a pumpkin pie and a strawberry/rhubarb pie for our Thanksgiving dinner.

We decided to have our celebration on the monday and had the blessing of friends and family around our table.

It was such a gorgeous evening that we started off on the back deck with some ‘appies’ and glasses of wine or cans of soda or beer for those who wished it.

We served up Terry’s homemade orange/carrot soup first, followed by the classic ham and scalloped potatoes dinner.

I had so much fun with our godchildren and cracked up every time “N” called me “Rola” instead of Laura”. Cute cute kids and great conversations as usual.

The wee ones had fun playing with the toys from the toybox and “N” enjoyed run, run, running and the company of “Auntie” Paula!

So much of which to be thankful.
