The Global Roots Mural

It was a smoky evening the night before and the moon looked rather spooky in its orange glow.

We had lots of fun travelling east and even had a chance to take a couple photos of “BIG things” to add to our collection.

Medicine Hat is quite lovely and as we passed the actual “World’s Biggest Teepee” we knew we were getting close to downtown. Soon we would find the mural that was purchased from Global Roots Canada called “Friends and Family” theme.

I was surprised when I saw a deer in the residential neighbourhood and I enjoyed looking at the vintage buildings nearby in the downtown area too.

We also came upon the oldest brick house in all of Alberta!

Soon we turned a corner and lo and behold we found the gorgeous mural on the Medicine Hat Public School Division Building.

What a thrill to have one of my tiles permanently displayed in this incredible mural.

(Once we find out the location of Terry’s and Paula’s mural this fall we’ll see if we can get there as well!)

And on the way home…….
