Change of Plans….
We drove down to Calgary for several reasons some of which were Terry’s work, my visit with Anne, and Bad Buddy. But : the next day we were supposed to drive to Rosebud to see their play “Little Women”. Unfortunately, Covid hit one of their casts (for the 3rd time that year!) and they had to cancel our performance. We were only booked in for one night at the Country Inn so we had a decision to make.
So, not unexpectedly, we chose to do another road trip since we were all the way down south anyway. We cancelled our accomodation at B.J.’s (who was very gracious) and headed off to Brooks , Alberta.
What is there you might say? Well we discovered that there is an iconic aqueduct in the vicinity so we drove there the next day after staying at a very comfortable “Days Inn” the night before.
The Aqueduct was over 3 kilometers long but is no longer in service. Here is more information about this structure….
It was a neat thing to see and read about but actually this was a quick stop on the way to …..
Medicine Hat! Whaaaaaat? Why go all the way there you say?
Well, last year I painted a tile for the Global Roots Mural Project and recently found out that my tile is now officially part of a purchased mural in that city. We drove over to take a look at the completed artworks in real life.
