Nordegg Con’t
What do I look for in a holiday? Relaxation , beauty, good food, and adventures. Add to that- family and music and it was a pretty perfect week with my sister and her husband in Nordegg.
We split the meal menus and we ate like kings while away. We rehearsed for our upcoming concert at Christ Church and we jammed a lot. In fact, we even collaborated on a brand new song. We were silly and enjoyed playing board games or having interesting conversations that lasted for hours!
And although the weather network predicted rain every single day for our week away we seemed to find the sunniest times to go exploring and when it was raining we stayed cozy in the cabin.
The firepit was already set up for us too so when we finally got a dry, clear evening we enjoyed the starry sky and the s’mores that our hostess, Stacey, provided for us.
We saw lots of wildlife too. It’s so beautiful to see the deer right near our cabin or go for a drive in the mountains and notice mountain sheep running near the road.
And we went on a couple of road trips.
One day we drove all the way back to Red Deer ( 2 hours!) just to see Tom Cruise in the new Mission Impossible movie. And it was WORTH IT !
Another day we went on an hour’s drive to a place called “Ram Falls”.
