A Family Time

Terry and I have had SUCH a great time visiting with friends and family.

We were blessed to have an invitation to his brother, Ted’s home for a ‘broasted’ chicken dinner. (Terry always makes fun of the word ‘broasted’ as that word only seems to be in Ontario and it might indicate ‘boiled/roasted’ chicken but it is definitely deep fried …ha ha. And…it is definitely delicious!)

It was wonderful to be with his parents too. We love Joan and Ed so much and haven’t had much occasion to visit them.

But Lori set up a gorgeous table in their gorgeous home and all of the adult children of Ed and Joan gathered for that meal. Even Terry’s sister, Laurie, and her partner, Karen, flew in from Vancouver and were able to be there!

Joan provided a wonderful meal of potato salad, corn on the cob, the chicken, and fresh buns. ( This was after we consumed the delicious appetizers Lori provided beforehand (veggies, dip, crackers, cheese, shrimp, etc.)

Terry baked a pineapple upside down cake (at my mum’s house) and everyone loved his dessert too. ( My favourite!)

We took lots of family portraits and here are a few of them .

We’ll sure miss these wonderful people.
