Painting With Our Parents
I just loved finding the time to paint with my family when I was in Ontario.
Before my sister, Paula, left for Toronto to be with her newest grandchild, Gene, she had a card table set up in the corner of the dining room and painted nearly every day. That is her above with one of her unique designs.
Our Dad is a prolific painter. He had to stop framing his work because he paints so much and was running out of room very quickly for all his lovely paintings. I took a photo of him in May holding the street scene above and in June with a piece I like of a boat and lighthouse scene. I’m just thrilled that both of our parents love being creative. No wonder all of the generations after them also love art and music too.
Our Mum has been getting into painting small watercolours for cards that she makes from scratch. Her latest works are seen below…..
I love these pretty cards and did you know that both my parents sell their art? If you are looking for a beautiful, original painting or a pack of cards at very reasonable prices ….let me know!
I also had another occasion to paint with my folks during this visit . Here is my “painting journey” below. This is an image of our Edmonton’s City Hall area that is turned into a spray park in the summer. I took the photo of that cute little girl which inspired the painting last June.
What a blessing to have had this time together…..
