Kona Days

Although the weeks are flying by our days are full yet relaxed.

We workout (he with walking and other exercises…..me with the pool), I get my prayers done, reading, painting, photography, cooking, guitar, and lots of rest. We even did a bit of shopping the other day.

We mostly stay in to prepare meals but after weekday 5 pm mass we eat out and Sunday brunch is our “Hap’s” away from home. Love love love taking photos as you know.

You never know what you’ll see on the street…..from unusual mannequins to random roosters.

I never get tired of the view of the roaring surf.

During Sunday the 19th the Filipino’s at our 9 am mass danced in to celebrate the feast day of Santa Nino . It was colourful and fun to watch. I love how our reader that day removed his shoes to enter the “holy ground” of our altar. I love singing with Walter and his wife Thelma. It is such an honour. I’m feeling very loved because our priest back home wrote us and said how much we are loved and missed. Wow!

We ended the day with an invite (from a music store owner and bass player) to enjoy live music at a nearby hotel.

It’s a nice pace and hearing about the cold snap back home made it that much sweeter.
