Garden Walk
I’m not sure exactly how many years we’ve been going to Hawaii but it’s got to be around 10 and most of them to the Big Island.
And we’ve gone to the “Old Airport Beach” (right beside an ancient runway!) many times as well.
So it’s funny that I went for a long walk on a garden path FOR THE FIRST TIME at that beach area!
It was VERY hot when I dropped Terry off at the golf course. He suggested I do this so I could get out of the condo….so I did!
I pulled over to the north side away from the ocean and discovered beautifully kept gardens of many different types.
The first one was a “succulent garden” and the cacti were massive and gorgeous.
There were wee cacti as well and all kinds of flowers displaying their vibrant colours.
There were rock gardens and tables, benches, chairs and many places to rest along the asphalt path.
Sooo many varieties of plants! I even saw a ferile cat and a chicken in a tree!
I’ll have to take Terry back with me sometime. It’s a gorgeous walk.
After my walk I grabbed an ice coffee and headed off to pick up Terry. I was boiling hot but so proud of myself for walking the entire path.
Evening sky put on her usual show that night.
Feeling very blessed to be here.
