Last Day in Rosebud
Here we go into the last of the rehearsals ( Full score sung for act one last night and full score act two sung this morning.)
The sun is shining outside and the music I’m hearing inside this morning is making my smile shine too.
This rehearsal cast is so talented. So combine that with this incredible score and it’s magic.
Now, the hard part for me is to not dissolve into an emotional mess…ha ha .
While we enjoying our breakfast once again this morning at The Country Inn, B.J. came in with large flat of locally produced honey. Sweet!
We met a couple at the B & B who are actually in the music department at the College in Winnipeg. When they heard about the timing and theme of the musical they took Terry’s info as another possible connection for a place to perform the musical!
Above left : Our musical director, Luke, and our rehearsal pianist, Tara.
Above left you can see some of the destruction that a fire caused in the costume building in Rosebud. We don’t know how it started but can you imagine how long and how much money it will take to fix the roof, wiring, and dryclean hundreds of costumes?
If you can afford it or have the inclination, please give to ….

Well, we’re off to the play here. Looking forward to it and the drive home through the gorgeous farmlands.
Faith. Family. Community.
As Terry says in his show, “Dream”….
“ … faith: you gotta find right here (pointing to his heart). Community is giving without fanfare and accepting graciously. And family - well, you build that one promise, one sacrifice at a time.”
