Marie Comes To Visit
The temperatures were soaring and I hadn’t been to the beach yet this summer. AND I was alone because Terry was out of town for work.
My dear friend, Marie, had called earlier in the summer to see if she could drive up to go to the beach with me but I was unavailable. I wondered if she would be free to join me now?
Sure enough, she rearranged her calendar a bit, found a ‘doggie sitter’ for “Ollie”, and she drove up the next day to join me…WOO HOO!
Marie just makes me laugh so much. I packed us a picnic lunch and the paraphernalia for the day, and after a quick turnaround after her safe arrival we headed off. The people watching was amazing and I have never seen so many bodies at that lake at one time. Woah.

I must admit that the water was FREEZING when we first got in but we braved it bit by bit and soon were acclimatized and enjoying it as a balance to the scalding hot temps of the day.

We met Terry at home from his long trip back from Calgary (ironically, as that is where Marie lives) and after all of us were cleaned up we headed off to my favourite Italian restaurant for dinner : Tasty Tomato.
The dinners did not disappoint and really were delicious. After dinner it was ‘jammies time’ where we gathered once again to watch a movie downstairs.
It was pretty bad but we found a few laughs in it. “No Hard Feelings”. Boo.
I’m SO happy Marie took the time to have a wee holiday with me at Hubble Lake and that she arrived back home safely the next day.
Summer is almost over but we made some great memories this year.
