Together Again
In preparation for the evening gathering of my family I decided to make two of my homemade pies : blueberry (Paula’s favourite) and apple (Dad’s request).
I love making pies and even though it is difficult for me to stand that long I was very happy with the results and positive responses from family.
For this occasion, we invited just our siblings and spouses and although three of the spouses couldn’t make it ,it was wonderful to actually have my entire original family together again.
We ordered pizza from “Tecumseh Pizza” and even our Dad who has always maintained that he doesn’t like pizza….Loved it!
The conversations were so easy going, fun topics, lots of laughs (of course), and no one seemed in a rush to leave.
The pies went over great but I did not regulate myself , had too much pizza, and then a slice of pie. I didn’t feel great, let me tell ya….ha ha.
Not sure how many times in the future I will have the blessing of being with my entire family. But I know what a blessing this was and I cherish it.
