Happy Mother’s Day
If you are reading this ….you had a mother.
They come in all shapes and sizes and temperaments too. Some were gentle. Some were struggling with low income or even mental illness. Some are with us today. Some have moved on to their ‘next adventures’.
But one thing is certain : we owe our mothers our life.
When one of our grandsons had to go back to school he drew a picture of his heart breaking because he missed his mum so much.
I miss my mum every day. We live in different provinces but I am soon going to fly to her for my annual month in Ontario. I can’t wait!
In our family we have a great blessing in the examples led by her : her faith, her silliness, her artistic and musical talents too. So much more.
My mother-in-law is also a wonderful mum. She also has great faith, a love of laughter, and even musical talents! Looking forward to being with her as well.
I feel blessed to have been given the chance to be a mom.
Is it corny to say that I feel I was born to do it? I loved it when the children were young and I love it now that I have grandchildren too!
May God continue to bless our moms and may we continue to realise the true gift they gave us : LIFE!
