Hallowe’en Bridal Shower!

Hallowe’en : time for fun decorations and treats….hopefully not too many ‘tricks’ out there though….

On All Hallow’s Eve Lana chose to head to the High Level Diner for a fun dinner with her parents, sister Emma, and best friend, Katie. We had a yummy dinner and then Lana returned to our house for an evening of “Wizard”.

The next day was Hallowe’en and the day Lana was coming in for her second wedding dress fitting and her wedding shower. We started off at The Bridal Boutique where she once again looked fabulous in the dress she ordered. She will do the final fitting in Long Beach.

Next up , a drive to St. Albert and our wedding shower at “Toast” . It was a great place to ‘make a toast’ to our bride to be and we all had a nice brunch.

Lana showed off her ‘B B” ring which all the “B B’s” have thanks to Emily and Lana received a call that made her emotional from her sister-in-law, Jenny, who called to say she wished she could have been there among other lovely things.

I presented Lana with a gift similar to the one my Mum gave to me at my wedding shower : a gift bag filled with one item from each of our antique collections. We gave her a wooden potato masher, a wooden hand mirror, a blue and white creamer, a flow blue dish, one of my vases, and an antique level.

A few of the gals invited couldn’t make it but we didn’t care. We just wanted to be with Lana to celebrate her upcoming nuptials.

It was SO nice to be with the “B B’s” . After brunch we all had some great success in that Em and Sarah found the dresses THEY will wear to the wedding and the dress I ordered arrived and I too found the dress I will wear to the wedding. WOO HOO!

Looking forward to a beautiful wedding in a couple of weeks.

P.S. Happy “ All Saints Day” !
