Red Lobster

Well, here’s our portraits for May 2022.

These poor folks put up with me taking photographs but I do think it’s important to keep a record of our times together and I love being able to look back on them and see what we all looked like.

I don’t like seafood but I have to say that my meal at Red Lobster was delicious. The fish ( fish and chips) was so fresh and have you ever had those biscuits? OH MY GOSH! Absolutely addictive and I’m pretty sure I just added a pound onto my ever growing hips.

Although our table was rectangular, I could hear most of the conversations and we all had a wonderful night just chatting and catching up on the latest news. Soon it was time to sing the “Happy Birthday Song” and of course the ‘Von Traps’ , I mean, ‘ The Drews’ sang in harmonies and it was quite lovely! Even Dad joined in…ha ha.

After dinner, we invited ourselves back to Mum and Dad’s and had a wonderful rest of the evening just sharing hilarious stories and basically just enjoying each other’s company. The tea was put on and it was clear that there were some very large gift bags upon the kitchen counter.

Our sister-in-law, Nancy, knitted all of us girls the most beautiful ‘pocket shawls’ !!!!

Every one of us received a shawl that seemed to be the perfect colour for us and they are so pretty, soft, and cozy, each one with a different design.

Mine is soft pink and because I didn’t bring a sweater this trip, it will come in very handy for those cooler days or nights. What a thoughtful gift and so attractive too.

Thanks again, Nancy!

I think our Daddy had a fun celebration. Our ‘big’ gift to him was money towards a new ‘Lazyboy’, electronic chair for his ‘t.v. room’.

Happy birthday again, Dad. We truly love you!
