Horseshoe and HooDoos!
Terry and I had some time enjoy before our 4:45 show of his DREAM musical so we decided to head towards Drumheller to see what we could see.
We hadn’t been to Horseshoe Canyon in years so we started off going for a walk around that area to look at the incredible views. Wow! So expansive and awe inspiring to look at.
Then we drove through Drumheller and turned right to find the “Hoodoos”.
The Hoodoos are natural formations that happened over the centuries. It felt like walking on what the moon might look like. Terry and I decided that we would bring our family there when they arrived.
They loved Horseshoe Canyon and the Hoodoos as much as we did! If you ever get the chance to see them….GO!
Then we drove over 11 bridges to get to the 150 year old “Last Chance Saloon” for lunch. It was not only a very good meal for all of us but the character of the place was amazing. So many antiques to look at, a ceiling covered with money….and a bear rug!
That evening we enjoyed the dinner that B.J. provided for us and we had a nice walk after supper too.
Oh! And of course I had to add one more ‘big thing’ to our silly collection….
