Day trips ( part one )

I might not be a ‘snow bird’ in the sense that I cannot ‘fly’ anywhere but when the weather warms up I just can’t wait to jump in the car and go for a drive.

We have had some warm days in a row so we had the opportunity to take a couple of fun day trips.

The other day we headed out to a place called Pigeon Lake. It is about an hour and 15 minutes to get there which is just a nice amount of time to be in the car and enjoy the sunshine.

I also think this feeling like I want to drive somewhere is my body clock telling me that I would normally be in the car heading off to Vancouver at this time of year.  :(

Pigeon Lake has this very small plaza complete with a hotel, grocery store, condos, boutiques, and other amenities.

We decided to step into the small restaurant called the “Eco Café” and treated ourselves to a hot beverage and a sweet.

It was very good for us during this time because there was only one other couple at the other side of the room. Not so good for the shop perhaps but a feeling of Covid safety for us with the pandemic showing no signs of slowing down yet.

I would like to come back and have dinner there one day. Looks like the chef concocts some tasty stuff! We didn’t actually go to the lake itself but many people love camping there. The town is cute and we noticed some interesting hydrant art.

We are listening to a new audio book by John Grisham called “ A Time for Mercy “ .So far so good!

Peace, friends.

May you find sunshine in your day and heart .
