Creating Fun!

When we’re near our grandsons we always feel the urge to help them get their creative spirits inspired.

Whether it’s seeing how many uses we can imagine for an object…. ( “Look at this banana! No, it’s not a banana. It’s a long nose! Or it’s a boat, a smile, a foot….”)…..

…..or using craft materials to make the day fun, we always try and come up with something interesting to make.

Well, the other day we had only just walked in the door at our son, Jared’s, new house when his oldest son, 7 year old Myro, said that he had a craft all planned for us!

He wanted Grandpa to help him make armor, a shield, and a sword out of some stuff he found in the basement.

He asked me if I would help him paint a dragon on the shield when it was completed.

Myro tired of the craft before the painting occurred but I love what he and Grandpa came up with for the project!

I also have a piece of new art to share with you…..

This painting was inspired by a photograph I took last summer when we found this old service shop building in a small town in Alberta.

Have you been feeling creative lately?

Try something! Cooking, sewing, painting, writing, and on and on…..so many things you can do to feed your soul and inspire others!

Go for it!
