Showers & Flowers

It was time for another road trip so we headed east to a town outside of Hilo called Honoka’a to see what we could see. It was an on and off again rainy day but we managed to have a wonderful outdoor lunch in town.

Roosters and chickens are quite common in Kona. Soooo, we saw lots of those..ha ha. We walked down the street but quickly found out that most shops are closed on Mondays.

But we took the time to find a nice little park where we enjoyed our apples and our Tile Rummy game.

Then we headed west to the nearby valley.

Arriving at the valley gave us an incredible vista but only Terry walked down the steep hill. Here are his photos….

I had the pleasure of staying back and trying to capture photographs of the many varieties of flowers there.

Aren’t they great?

All in all it was a lovely day despite the rain. Or maybe because of it…..look for the rainbows in your life,
