Prayers, Paints, Pizza.
Boy, we’ve been having fun getting to know our new friends from church!
The four of us got together last Friday for a “date” at Papa Kona restaurant. Parking is very expansive downtown so it was a perfect location because we are allowed to park at our church across the street.
They insisted on treating us to dinner which was so kind. I had the fish and chips and the boys had burgers. Thelma had some kind of poke dish.
We had tons of fun sharing stories….so much so that we’re going to meet up again the following Friday,
Singing with them at 9 a.m. mass was also fun and we all met another music minister from the Caribbean and his wife who came up to thank us afterwards.
Fr. Leo gave out “Thank-you” plaques to various ministry heads. ‘Love St. Michael’s. ( I also love seeing so many parishioners in their Hawaiian best.)
We found a little park in which to paint. It was another beautiful day to sit under the trees and work with our wee sketch books and watercolours.
That evening we treated ourselves to Black Rock pizza while we watched some outdoor volleyball.
