St. Mary’s Cemetery
When my sister, Pamela, told me that there was another Hallowe’en display even BIGGER than the “Twisted Circus” I had to go check it out!
This family created a life size ‘iron’ fence out of plastic and wood that looks exactly like the gates to a cemetery. WOW! I was astonished at the many levels of creativity from unique skeletons to turning the entire ‘face’ of their home into a scary …..face!
The owners encouraged their guests to wander through their property so we could see the life size Frankenstein’s monster, life size skeleton horse and rider, and the hundreds of other characters and decorations that lined their front driveway.
And just when you think you’ve seen most of the characters and vignettes they had to offer you notice that they have a ‘haunted house’ for you to walk through. It was a plastic covered ‘hallway’ on one half of the driveway and when one ducks through the entrance they see that there are even more gruesome creatures and set ups to behold. You will find yourself having to walk through some ‘pool noodles’ hanging from chains and needing to clap your hands to see a witch’s eyes light up and hear her scary cackle. There were many body parts and skeletons everywhere. Yikes!
Although the haunted house was a not long in length, it made up for this with lots of twists and turns ,each one with characters you might recognize from the horror films (like Freddy Kruger) or just incredibly imaginative ones like the popcorn machine filled with body parts. Honestly, I could have taken EVEN MORE photos but I’m positive you get the idea…ha ha. And because it IS my favourite day of the year I get no end of enjoyment to seeing all of these decorations.
Again, I just have to ask: where do people STORE all of these things?
