Sunwapta and Athabasca Falls
Good morning, ‘deer’ ones.
Still enjoying the peace of our cottage.
First up so I got the coffee on and soon enough started breakfast for us all. Terry had the ‘full meal deal’ with his avocado toasts. This kitchen! It was the most beautiful gas stove, etc., and it was a pleasure to cook there.
Road trip to Jasper today!
Once more God blessed us with picture perfect weather and views. We live in such a beautiful province and country. We stopped for a snack on the way to Jasper which is 3 hours from Nordegg, where we’re staying.
Every bend in the road held another spectacular mountain view and when we made the turn to enter the path to get to Sunwapta Falls there were more spectacular views to enjoy. (Paula is in the second photo above left , bottom left.)
Athabasca Falls were too crowded with people so we didn’t stay long but the rolling, thunderous waves of water splashing across the rocks down from the mountain were a glorious sight to behold as always.
We all enjoyed a dinner at “L & W” Greek restaurant in Jasper before we headed home to our lovely Air B & B in Nordegg once again.
