The Brew and Bloom
It’s always fun to find a restaurant that is ‘new to you’ but one that you will most definitely return to.
My friend, Cathy, needed to postpone our getting together until the later afternoon so I convinced my guy to accompany me to The Brew and Bloom to honour my reservation for 1:30 pm.
I assumed the ‘brew’ in the title referred to a pub but it was more about the brewed coffee and homemade sweets.
The Brew and Bloom is a very feminine restaurant/ flower shop that would be perfect for a wedding shower location or to have lunch out with your besties. There were artificial flowers everywhere and it was very very pretty.
Upon arriving we walked through a lovely space dominated by a larger tree made out of flowers. There were lots of tables for two here and a nice bar that served coffees, sweets, and alcohol. The servers were wearing pink “Brew” shirts and we noticed several tables occupied by women. Terry looked at me with the eyebrow up and I knew he was probably regretting his decision to accompany me…ha ha.
But luckily enough he is secure in his masculinity and we enjoyed ourselves very much. We had our lunch served in the ‘flower room’ and boy, were there a lot of flowers….even a flower curtain!
The lunches were beautifully presented and very tasty! I enjoyed a small ham and cheese sandwich on focaccia bread with a nice side salad with a lemony dressing. Terry enjoyed his mushroom soup and prosciutto and brie sandwich. After our repast Terry talked me into trying the ‘rose latté which was very good and he had a lovely cappuccino. Our ‘neighbours’ enjoyed their incredible looking ‘red velvet latté’ with a piece of red velvet cake sticking out of the top. Wow!
People in the room kept ordering these incredible looking drinks and I kept asking the server, “ Now what is THAT drink?” She was very accomodating and patient with me. She could surely tell I would be back.
They also sold fresh flower arrangements at the Brew and Bloom and many nice gift options for purchase too.
I have quite a few girlfriends I think would love this place as much as I did. I asked Terry what he would do if he saw one of his golfing buddies walk in with their wife. He said ,” We’d probably just look at each other pointedly and know that this little excursion would never be spoken of again.” HA HA HA.
To be continued……
