Quiet crafting

When grandparents aren’t used to the constant busyness of the little ones it is nice to have grandsons who love art like we do.

Terry and I both have lots of ideas for crafting in the following two weeks and these little ones have the patience and focus to spend quite of bit a time working on their crafts.

The other day I brought out a ‘pirate ship’ that I had found and a treasure box for painting. Our six year old ,O, and his four year old brother, M, loved the painting time and I think they did a very good job too! AND….there just might have been some chocolate coins in which to fill the treasure box…and their tummies.

And as happy a time as this was we spent a few minutes crying our eyes out this morning when we heard our Lana and her Jeff were turned away at the airport today as they were about to check in to finally FINALLY come home after almost two years. Although they checked all the websites they could find about documentation requirements to return to Canada from the U.S., they apparently were missing one document and were denied entry onto their flight.

Our hearts broke for them as we knew just how much they were looking forward to arriving today. We know they will fly when they can but we miss them SO much.
