At Peace With Painting

A while back I wrote about the “Global Roots” , “Canada Connects” mural project I got involved with.

I had so much fun with it that I purchased 3 more tiles and gave two away.

When you pay for and order the tiles (they were on sale for a bundle of 3) you receive the 6 X 6 inch tile, the brushes, the paint, and the instructions. But you can paint any image of your choosing as long as it is in the colour palette you were sent.

So for this go around I painted with Chartreuse (green) , Terry painted with Light Blue, and my sister, Paula painted her tile with lilac (purple).

I will attach my original blue palette image (self portrait) and then my “hazy Alberta road”, Terry’s “mountain scene”, and Paula’s “abstract lilacs.”

Terry and I paint every Thursday afternoon at the Marian Centre.

Here are a couple of smaller paintings I’ve recently completed….. “Shoulder to Shoulder” and “Snowy Jasper Reflection”.

The hours fly by when I paint.
