Life Can Be A Dream

Windsor pizza. Have I mentioned this before? Ha ha. Of course I have!

We’ve actually enjoyed a few excellent ‘pies’ here in the area and I’m sure going to miss them when we get home.

It’s tough trying to eat healthy when you live in a hotel for a month.

I try to order salads when I can at a restaurant but even that gets old pretty quick.

Terry started off this day by meeting up with some of his ‘forever friends’ from Assumption High School for their monthly breakfast at The Lumberjack. He, like me, has these wonderful connections that have spanned years.

I stayed back at the hotel and played guitar to practice for our upcoming concerts ….first one this month!

Then we finally got to meet up with my brother, John and his bride, Nancy. First time this month!

After lunch I enjoyed a wee visit with my parents while Terry had a business meeting. Fun to see what my dad is up to now with his latest painting too. My mum is the ‘puzzle queen’ and she always has one on the go now. Wow! She is amazing at assembling these pretty scenes.

Soon we headed off to Terry’s folks, pizza in hand, and enjoyed more conversation with these great folks. His dad is 92 now and mum is 89!

I experienced an amazing and emotional thing that night. Terry brought over the video of the cast reading and singing his script and score from his new musical, “Dream”.

He cast the show to the television and imagine: we got to watch the production WITH the folks it was written about.

TALK ABOUT TEARS! Terry’s mum started crying from the very first song and both of them were sobbing by the end of act two.

It was incredible to see and hear their positive reactions to it. Terry’s dad said, “I don’t know how you got so much of that right!” Because although it’s a made up story there are still lots of truths about Ed’s background in the show and Terry paid attention.

He received a huge teary hug from his dad at the end and I think we might have emptied a Kleenex box in the last couple of hours!

Well done, Terry! I’m so proud of you.
