I’ve had the honour of being chosen to be heard on the Women of Substance Radio show many times over the years.
I am so grateful to the U K Songwriting Contest! They’ve helped me become a better songwriter!
I’ve also had the honour of receiving accolades for many of my songs for several other songwriting competitions.
C.S. Levinsky has just chosen 2 of my songs, “ Something Perfect” and “When It’s Time” for her upcoming film in Edmonton. (2022)
“Something Perfect” also achieved “ Professional Status” in the We Are Listening International Songwriting Competition. (2009)
“ There’s A Door “ was a finalist in the Calgary Folk Fest Songwriting competition(2018)
“ My Prince “ won a director’s award in the Nashville International Song and Lyric Contest .
“ When It’s Time “ won the Gospel/Inspirational song of the year at the Akademia Awards ( 2016) and Sleepwalker that same year was a semi-finalist in the U.K. Songwriting competition.
“Close Your Eyes “ chosen for African Video soundtrack, 2013
Artistic Accolades, posters and print
In 2021 I was chosen from hundreds of Edmonton artists to be ‘the face of the Festival of Trees’ for all of their billboards, print ads, cards, advertising in general, and the two paintings were auctioned off to make money for the University Hospital Foundation.
It was my great honour to donate these two paintings which displayed the theme colours of the event and the idea of inclusiveness as well.
