I’ve been thinking about what an incredible gift it is to be alive.

Our bodies are such intricate creations that if just one tiny cell is off in some way we can be out of whack and possibly even ill. The master Creator has given us these bodies and also given us free will!

My pool is closed. Not the big, public pool (which was closed down long ago)but my friend’s condo pool that she shared with me. So now I have to find a plan B to stay healthy.

Before the lockdown I had the pleasure of painting with my husband,Terry, and our daughter,Emily, in our home art studio.

I had a surprise this Christmas. I wasn’t sad. Not too sad at least. I imagined the scene in my mind 50 times leading up to Christmas : how sad I would be without my extended family and friends. I imagined my tears and tried to prepare so that I wouldn’t just cry this most holy day away.

Last night we headed out at 4:30 p.m. to try and catch a glimpse of the “Bethlehem star”. This is the very rare conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn that is supposed to resemble the famous Biblical star that led the Wisemen to the manger where Jesus was born.
