A Twister, A Sister, A Sister From Another Mister, and A Play That Goes Wrong.
My delightful sister, Paula, helps me take care of my house. She is hurting herself but somehow a little more capable than me so I am THRILLED that she helps me clean.
We usually find time to chat for a bit first and I love catching up on our week together too. We used to be found sitting on my front porch for this but the air quality has been so bad with 144 out of control fires sending their smoke our way and the 3 week heat wave that we are both grateful for air conditioning.
One afternoon, Terry and I decided to escape the heat by going to the movies for a couple of hours. We both can recommend the new “Twisters” movie….a fun, exciting lark into the world of storm chasers.
The next day I met my friend, Marla for breakfast after mass. It was an early birthday celebration for her….and soon apparent that it was also a late celebration for me! We got caught up on all the news we could before she had to return to work. Happy birthday, again, Marla! ( I love my pressies…especially the beautiful Jerusalem cross necklace.)
Finally, Terry and I decided to take in the Citadel’s “The Play That Goes Wrong”. We didn’t think the first one with the Peter Pan theme was very funny but the 5* review on latest one made us try again with the 1920’s Murder Mystery theme.
I am happy to say the play was very very funny and the set itself was the star of the show as it continued to break down until it was in tatters! Before the show the cast members would walk around and engage the audience with chatter. It was well done!
