SEEING THE WORLD THROUGH DIFFERENT EYES

YESTERDAY I WROTE ANOTHER NEW SONG….( MY 9TH ONE SINCE ‘COVID’!) 

IT IS ABOUT HOW I FEEL ABOUT THE BEAUTY AROUND ME AS I GO FOR MY WALKS AROUND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD. 

TODAY I READ THIS POSTING BY MY COUSIN, DANIEL….

Tooth Pain is no joke.

I had to go to the emergency room today because of an infection that came on suddenly.

Maybe it was the drugs, but when I went home from the hospital today, I stopped and saw this flower and cried at its beauty. I was suddenly reminded about how finite life is, and how our physical bodies can go from healthy to a severe life threatening infection the next day. But there is beauty in life and the time that we’re given, like this flower. What a gift to see on such a beautiful day.

Luckily, I was treated by great doctors and I am thankful for my road to recovery. Some people can’t say the same. This seems like such a silly thing to think about while the world is dealing with COVID-19, but I’m just so hyper aware of how finite our time on earth is right now.

Last night I had a very rough sleep, and I couldn’t help but feel like I have so much more to look forward to. What started as an infection turned into something scary.

I want to turn 2020 into a year where I recover my physical sense of joy. I want my body to feel healthy and I have a renewed commitment to pursing a healthier lifestyle.

THIS IS PRETTY MUCH WHAT MY SONG IS ABOUT TOO:  SEEING LIFE THROUGH DIFFERENT EYES AND DISCOVERING WHAT A GIFT WE ARE GIVEN IN THE BEAUTY OF A SIMPLE FLOWER .
