TERRY AND I ARE STILL TRYING TO GO ON WEEKLY ROAD TRIPS TO ENJOY THE SUMMER …USUALLY LISTENING TO AN AUDIO BOOK (WE ARE CURRENTLY LISTENING TO ‘AMERICAN DIRT’) AND THEN HAVE A PICNIC.

WE HEARD ABOUT A PIE SHOP CALLED ‘HUCKLEBERRY’S’ IN THE SMALL TOWN OF WETASKIWIN SO OF COURSE THAT SOUNDED LIKE A GOOD DESTINATION POINT. HA HA.

THEN WE GOOGLED ‘PARKS NEAR ME’ AND STUMBLED UPON THIS BEAUTIFUL LITTLE LOCATION APPROPRIATELY NAMED ‘LAKE PARK’.

WE SEEMED TO HAVE A PARADE OF BIRDS CROSS BY AS WE ENJOYED OUR FOOD AND (OF COURSE) TILE RUMMY.  IT WAS THE HOTTEST DAY THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS SUMMER (26 DEGREES) AND WE SAT IN THE DIRECT SUN TOO. BUT THE HEAT FELT GOOD AFTER ALL THE RAIN WE’VE BEEN HAVING AND IT WAS NICE TO HAVE TIME JUST THE TWO OF US AS OUR VISITORS FROM VANCOUVER WERE HAVING A COUPLE DAYS AT OUR SON’S IN LAWS.

ON THE WAY BACK I WAS ABLE TO TAKE A FEW PAINTING IDEA PHOTOS OF OLD CARS AND EVEN AN OLD AIRPLANE.

GLAD WE HAVE THE OPTION OF ENJOYING EDMONTON IN THESE DISTURBING TIMES. RAINING AGAIN TODAY BUT THE GRANDCHILDREN SHOULD BE HERE SOON!
