Our Dream Family
By the time it was about to be closing night we had most of our friends and family in to see “DREAM”.
We felt so humbled to see how many people had made the effort to fly or drive over and even more honoured to hear all of the positive responses from them and folks we’d never met as well.
Our four adult children, their spouses, and our six grandsons made the trip and it was to be the most remarkable weekend of being together.
After the show on both Friday and Saturday night we enjoyed a buffet dinner at the Mercantile. It was always excellent too. It was really cool when every buffet patron burst into applause when Terry walked in the room! He even received two bouquets of flowers from our friends Jazz, Sebastien, Jane, and Bryan. We enjoyed the musicians that wander from room to room too!
After the show our family got into our ‘comfies’ , went upstairs at the Inn, and talked into the wee hours about the musical. It was SO much fun and insightful too. (And definitely had its silly moments of course.)
I’d love to show you how cute our grandsons looked but we are protecting their images now.
One afternoon while we were waiting for our musical we purchased tickets and crossed the street to the Opera House to watch “Chariots of Fire”.
This was another incredible show with very innovative ways of presenting the running.
But for me the best part of the weekend other than those events was having my first Mother’s Day in years with all of my children and grandchildren together with us in the same place.
I will never forget this wonderful experience. I surprised my guy with an ‘award’ to commemorate the experience..ha ha.
Looking forward to seeing what is next for Terry Bachynski’s “DREAM”.
