The 6th Wave
Could you have imagined?
Here we are about to enter into our third summer with our not so best friend Covid. Ugh. But he wants to stay with us.
Two years ago we were being advised to stay home and I think we are all so sick of it.
As the numbers rise again we steel ourselves for more folks in the ICUs , more deaths, more fear……
But we will not be mastered by this pandemic.
I learned that staying home can be cozy and fun. Although I don’t like winter I do like my home.
We have by this time had a taste of hugging and travelling and we have felt hope.
Let’s stay upbeat and still be diligent about safety protocols. I’m still wearing a mask when I enter restaurants and I’m washing my hands often and long.
Let’s never ever forget how blessed we are to have those in our lives whom we love.
Let’s keep calling each other if we can’t call ON each other.
Let’s pray and laugh and be kind and be thankful ….every . single. day.
Peace, friends.
A prayer from World News In Prayer :
“O Great Physician, we are hopeful even upon hearing the news that we are entering another phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet so many of us are exhausted and fed up not knowing what will happen next. Infection rates are rising around the world, access to vaccines remains inequitable, and lockdowns continue in Shanghai, China. Grant us the space and time to grieve all that has been lost. Bring rest to the weary, healing to the sick, and relief to those who hurt.”
