Rehearsal
Things were getting exciting now that most of the guests for the wedding had arrived.
Once again, we went across the street to “The Breakfast Bar” in the morning and had a really nice meal with D’s family, Terry’s sister, Laurie, and even Pamela, who drove over from her friend’s home. Karen arrived too late to chat but she and Laurie went for a nice walk and we soon went off for the day’s adventures.
Pam, Terry, and I went for a drive around looking at Long Beach until Lana called us over to see her new apartment. (It’s amazing!)
Then we met up with my brother, John, and Nancy for a yummy lunch at the California Pizza Kitchen. More fun conversations there and then a bit of a walk through the nearby neighbourhood.
Getting ready for the rehearsal next up and we arrived in time for a lovely sunset. They are getting married at the Long Beach Museum of Art which overlooks the ocean and has tons of character.
Things went pretty smoothly at the rehearsal with Lana’s dear friend, Brandon, who will be officiating. Then it was off to Lana’s condo building for the rehearsal dinner.
Above, you can meet Gary and Jane, Jeff’s parents from Michigan. Kevin and Sarah will be doing the readings. When we moved over to the ‘Party room’ the rest of the immediate family arrived and we soon enjoyed a wonderful, catered Mediterranean dinner. I had one surprise for Lana : I put together a video montage of her when she was little from footage we had of her singing or doing ‘music lip syncs’ with her brothers and sister. It was fun to watch and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
Tomorrow’s the big day!
