Girls’ Weekend Away (part 2)

We enjoyed a few good meals right at our hotel over the course of the weekend at the Chilled Cork.

We went for a few drives and we even went to the Chatham casino . We were prepared to walk right back out if there were lots of people there (due to Covid worries) but the place was pretty empty so we wore our masks and tried to win at the slot machines. And you know what? We all did! Woo Hoo!

We prayed our rosary together in the car while we drove and we headed to London one day to shop . (And we didn’t even pray to win….ha ha ha)

If we were not doing too much there was always a moment to be a ‘poser’ and we’re all good at that….ha!

We also love ‘antiquing’ and had some luck there too….. Here you see the girls entering in and see below for images of some typical things you might see there……

Our last evening together in Chatham saw us having a wonderful dinner at Casa Bella Italian Restaurant. We’ll be back next year for sure, it was SO great.

On our last day together we decided we would head home to go to a movie at the Lakeshore Theatre there. We all absolutely loved the new Downton Abbey movie. All your favourite characters have beautiful moments on screen and there are all the family moments you could imagine from births to romance to weddings, funerals , and lots of love.

The glorious weekend ended with a good meal at Kelsey’s (which we no longer have in Edmonton) and back to mum and dad’s for homemade apple crisp. Perfect.
