Parting Shots (part two)

In between visiting with or babysitting for our children out here, I also had the pleasure of getting back to aquasize and finding time to play my (borrowed from D) guitar.

It felt SO good to finally finally get back in the water to stretch out my muscles and moooooooove. I met some nice folks this time and although the hot tub wasn’t working at first it was heaven when they finally received the city’s approval to reopen while I was still in Kits.

And we not only saw our children but we got to hang out with Terry’s sister Karen and their new pup, “Happy”, a couple of times!

They went to a ton of trouble to make my favourite meal (lasagna with caesar salad and garlic bread) and we played one of my favourite games : “Wizard”.

I had fun going for some walks when I was able and I passed The Armoury which looks to be in great shape ….the red trees/bushes were stunning!

We also had a chance to go to a lovely tea house that we just discovered in Kerrisdale. Was it new? The owners told us they’d been there for THIRTY YEARS! Ha ha. I guess they’re doing something right and it was a lovely lunch. We’ll be back next year to Adonia Tea House.

We love window shopping as much as we enjoy actual shopping (probably more as we don’t need much these days) and we came across this cool window display in Kerrisdale.

They used old, completed “paint by numbers’ as part of their decorating scheme as well as vintage suitcases.

Thank you for allowing me to share some of my memories with you of our wonderful five weeks near our Western families.

Already looking forward to our next adventure with our Eastern families.

Peace friends.

Love,

Laura
