Take a Book-Leave a Book
As I have continued to try and go for walks around my neighbourhood I have come upon some wonderful little free libraries.
Do you have these in your city as well?
One will turn a corner and all of a sudden you will see a little ‘house’ filled with books. The idea is that you can take a book for free and when you have the chance ,you can return and leave one of your own books in its place.
They come in all shapes and sizes. One of my favourites is when the roof is in the shape of a book.I have used them properly and I always have a peek in to see if there’s anything I haven’t yet read when I see another book box.
I love how these folks recycle their used books and how they also encourage reading.
I am in a wonderful book club and I’m always looking for new book ideas. There is one whole corner in my basement that is for our personal library and I love to lend my books and sometimes even reread them…although there are SO many good books out there I rarely do that.
Maybe you’ve seen a ‘little free library’ in your town. Maybe you would consider building one.
It’s like a little moment of joy when I come upon one. And hours and hours of joy when I find a book I like and spend the time reading!
