The Pool

Love our private pool at this house we’re renting here in Kona.

Lots of wee ‘friends’ come to visit like this little, green gecko that showed up while I was reading my book one day.

The weather here is consistently warm, hovering around 80 degrees so it is lovely to have the pool.

The very first time we used it though got our hearts going.

Terry was already outside when I followed and shut the door behind me to keep the critters out.

I joked, “I hope that doesn’t lock behind me automatically.”

Guess what?

We were instantly locked out of our house with a high fence all the way around the yard. While I was so thankful we had our phones and while I was preparing to call the fire department, ha ha, Terry was scoping out the joint and discovered that on the other side of the pool area the fence became a high chain link type. Before I knew it, he had thrown his beach towel on the top of that fence and climbed up and over (with his bare feet!) to get back into the house through the garage, through the house, and this time, through the patio sliding door.

PHEW!

Now we know: always go to the pool deck through the glass, sliding door. Oh my racing heart.

So the other day I was on a phone call with a dear friend who suggested that we knock something off the ole’ bucket list by skinny dipping in our own pool.

After I hung up the phone Terry and I were actually mulling over the fun possibility because after all, our backyard is completely enclosed in.

We were having lunch in the back right after that call when all of a sudden a strange man just appeared in our pool area!!!!

WHAAAAAAAAA?

Apparently, the owners have a pool guy who comes in once a week to test out the water in the pool ! I found it SO funny just thinking about us both naked in the pool when “James” showed up that I couldn’t stop giggling.

I’m sure he wondered why I was laughing so much. We all ‘dodged a bullet’ on that situation….ha ha ha.
