Mani/Pedi Day
Terry and I finally got to see our Lana! After big hugs we parted ways because…..
….she surprised some of us girls by treating myself, my sister, Pamela, her friend, Diane, Emily, and herself to ‘mani/pedi’s on Saturday morning.
I’ve never done that before(at the same time that is) and it was really fun to all be in this fun/busy place together! My nails and toenails look SO nice! BUT: then I got a notice on my phone from my other sister, Paula. My godmother, Auntie Carol died this morning! She had been quite ill, was in hospital for a soon-to-be triple bypass, and passed away peacefully I hear. Of course I shed some tears and offered up prayers. (May your journey to Heaven be swift, dear Auntie.)
We met up with Terry afterwards for brunch at “The Breakfast Bar” and it was good! We also ran into Jeff’s (the future groom) parents there who just happened to be walking by, in from Michigan!
Lana and Emily still had lots of wedding preparations so we parted ways after our meal and the rest of us explored The Shoreline Village.
Once again the weather was just perfect so it was lovely to walk along the boardwalk, do a bit of shopping, and then finally stop for an early dinner till the sun went down.
Long Beach is very beautiful.
