CATERPILLAR

CATERPILLAR

I’VE BEEN TOLD I WALK TOO SLOWLY.  I SUPPOSE COMPARED TO SOME.

AT THIS PACE I SEEM TO NOTICE MORE THINGS. I TRUDGED THROUGH A FOREST OF MUSHROOMS THE OTHER DAY. THEY PROVIDED BEAUTIFUL SHADE FROM THE ANGRY SUN.

THE ANTS SCURRY PAST ME CARRYING THEIR BURDENS AND BUILDING THEIR TUNNELS . I AM HAPPY WITH MY MEASURED JOURNEY.

I’VE BEEN CALLED UGLY.

SOME DON’T LIKE THE COLOUR OF MY SKIN.  GREEN IS MY FAVOURITE COLOUR . I’M HAPPY WITH HOW I LOOK . PLEASE DON’T TRY TO STEP ON ME.

I NOTICED TINY ‘WINDMILLS’ FLOATING AROUND ME THE OTHER DAY.  THEY LOOKED SOFT AND WHITE. I THOUGHT THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL.

BUT I’M NOT PERFECT.  I GET HUNGRY. SOMETIMES I CHEW ON THINGS I SHOULDN’T AND YOU GET ANGRY.   THIS CAN LEAD TO MY OWN ANGER.

I CARRY ON.  I CAN SEE ALL THE COLOURS IN THE GARDEN.  CREATED BY A MASTER GARDENER I’M SURE.

IT HAS BEEN A LONG WALK AND IT’S ALMOST TIME FOR MY REST.

I LONG FOR MY TRANSFORMATION.  I WISH YOU COULD TRANSFORM TOO!
