Winter Wonderland

Well. We knew it was coming.

And even though I always prefer to not have any snow for as long as possible, they held off for longer than some years when the snows have arrived as early as October.

And….it’s beautiful here. Our first snowfall just a few days ago dumped a ton of it on our city and I’m actually fine with that.

It does get one in the mood for Christmas preparations!

I walked as much as possible outside while I could but now it is currently too treacherous for me to attempt it. Very icy underneath the snow on the sidewalks.

Looks like I’m back to walking around in circles in my house…ha ha.

After that gorgeous Autumn experience in Ontario it felt early to dig out my parka , boots, mitts, hat, etc., but it is also COLD out there.

After morning mass I just had to drive around the nearby neighbourhoods to take some photos for you of our winter wonderland.

This afternoon looks like the perfect day to get back to my painting. I’ll put a log in the fireplace, choose some inspiring music, make a cup of tea, and I’ll get creating.

What do YOU like to do during these long winter months?

I wonder what our soccer guests from the Honduras think of this cold weather. Congratulations to Canada for qualifying for the World Cup!

Stay warm, y’all.
