We used to take dance lessons once upon a time at Arthur Murray. Man, I miss those ballroom dancing lessons.
Our teacher was Sam ( Samantha) and she was wonderful.
She has children now ( O how time flies!) and has opened up a new business called the Sweet Pea Café. It is the cutest restaurant with a tin ceiling , original art on the walls, and delicious food and sweets like….their daily homemade cinnamon buns. Yum.
Sam contacted me recently and asked if Terry and I would like to be the next artists to decorate her place. The answer is…YES!
One morning , before mass, we drove over and hung paintings for an hour. Sweet Pea is right next door to Samantha’s Play Place. This is a wonderful room filled with all kinds of tiny ‘businesses’ from Barbershops to Schools and provides tons of toys for wee ones to play with. There is also a nice ‘party room’ which has tables for families and friends to enjoy a birthday celebration or just lunch! We also hung a couple of our paintings in there.
