More Egg-cellent Times at The Marian Centre.
Although my husband says that he would rather pour hot tar up his nose than work on a Ukrainian egg (HA!) for me it is completely relaxing and enjoyable.
Above you can see another egg that I did in just one colour. I drew out each quadrant with the kistka wax, dyed it blue, and uncovered the design by burning off the wax. I didn’t use a ‘step by step’ for the next few. I’ve been doing this for years so I pretty much know the basic steps by now.
I love the sweet design and Easter colours of this one. ( Check out how old the matches are that I was using!)
It is bitterly cold outside today and I was SO happy to be indoors.
Next step is to urethane each egg to protect it and make it shiny.
I look forward to bringing these home and displaying them. Hmmmm. I better change out the winter/snow paintings so I can get in the mood for the impending ( we HOPE) Spring weather.
Then these Easter eggs will look like they belong.
