The Joy of Family and Friends Being Reunited

Excitement galore. This year our return trip to Kits has brought so much joy to us and our wee boys.

“Show and Tell”, stories, and lots of hugs and giggles are making us feel very loved.

After our wonderful birthday day with our middle boy, “D” on Sunday we spent the next day enjoying the sun while we ran around the city doing errands. We were able to find every single thing we were looking for including things to make my life more manageable like a chair with arms for our kitchen and grab bars to help me up and down the stairs in our place here. All of these things really help as my body needs more and more assistance.

We had a nice break at the Arbutus Coffee House, one of our favourite places for tea, and then we finished our errands and I made us a nice big salad for supper.

The next day we took J and her boys out to the White Spot for lunch after which Terry took them to the golfing range at UBC. We carted a child’s set of clubs here and both families of boys are thrilled. (So is Terry!)

J and I hung out at the beach with R and then we all met up back at their apartment for games galore ( like the story game below that O made up. He draws a picture of a ‘news article’, folds up the description, then we each took turns writing what we think the drawing was about , hiding our own sentence, and at the end reading each one out loud. Very fun!) and a wonderful homemade spaghetti dinner. ( We also met “Pumpkin” their pet snail.)

The following day the weather turned to misty rain but it was warm inside “Juliet’s” where we met our dear friend, Heather, for breakfast.
