The Old Dairy

Our next stop was 2 hours away and took us to the “Cotswolds” area and a town called Cheltenham. Our VRBO was called the Old Dairy and it was indeed a refurbished space within a farm. I loved seeing all the animals and what a lovely welcome we received when we arrived.

The owner had left for us : 2 homemade brownies, a jar of homemade marmalade, farm fresh eggs, milk, a loaf of bread, butter, and even a bottle of wine. Wow!

The living space was quite modern and even had a fairly large ‘smart’ t.v. on the wall. Outside we enjoyed watching the farmer feed the animals in the morning…well, what was left of it. I actually woke up Terry at eleven o’clock two days in a row! Good ole’ jet lag.

Our next adventure was meeting up with my cousin, Jackie who only lived about 20 minutes away. She met us at the farm. After a bit of a tour we headed out to “The King’s Arms” where we enjoyed tasty burgers and hours of great conversation.

What fun to catch up with my Father’s niece! And very nice of her to make the time for us. We caught up on all sorts of family stories and then head out into the town for a bit of a walk/drive about.

One minute is was raining and the next it was sunny. But Cheltenham was one of the prettiest cities we visited. Lots of character and lots of murals as well. But alas, although we visited with Jackie all day, even into the evening at our VRBO, it was time to say ‘farewell’ and get back to our peacock friends.
