EXAUSTED?

ISN’T IT FUNNY HOW BUSY WE ARE EVEN THOUGH WE’RE MOSTLY …HOME? 

AND I KNOW FOR SOME OF US IT CAN’T BE HELPED BECAUSE WE MIGHT HAVE LITTLE ONES UNDER FOOT IN THE DAY OR A JOB THAT NEVER QUIT WHEN COVID HIT.

BUT IF POSSIBLE I THINK IT’S IMPORTANT TO FIND TIME TO REST.  I REMEMBER THOSE DAYS WHEN I WAS A YOUNG MUM AND I WOULD DO A SORT OF ‘FORCED REST’ FOR ALL OF US BY HAVING AN ALLOTTED READING TIME IN THE DAY FOR ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES.  IT CALMED EVERYONE DOWN AND GAVE ME TIME TO BREATHE ALSO. 

AND IF YOU ARE STUCK AT YOUR HOME OFFICE AND FEEL THAT SHOULD BE HAVE TO WORK FROM MORNING TO NIGHT….YOU DON’T !  EVERYONE BY RIGHTS IS ALLOWED 15 MINUTE BREAKS AND BREAKS FOR LUNCH.  AND I BELIEVE STRONGLY THAT YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE TO WORK IN YOUR EVENINGS.  THE BODY NEEDS REST.

I SOMETIMES FEEL GUILTY IF I AM NOT ‘BUSY’ EVERY SECOND.  I FEEL LIKE I HAVE TO FILL MY DAY WITH ACTIVITY UNTIL I AM PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY EXHAUSTED AND YET I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A GIFT FROM THIS TIME OF PANDEMIC.  I DON’T HAVE TO GO OUT TO WORK. I DON’T HAVE TO RUN OFF TO THE GYM AT AN APPOINTED TIME AND I DON’T HAVE TO CREATE ANYTHING IF I DON’T WANT TO ! 

THIS IS A TIME TO BREATHE.  LET’S TAKE THAT TIME TO LITERALLY STOP AND SMELL THE COFFEE ..HA HA…AND LOOK AROUND US AT THE… BIG FAT BEES THAT ARE HELPING OUR FLOWERS TO BLOOM. (MY DAUGHTER IN LAW JUST TOLD ME SHE LIKES TO DO THIS AND IT’S THE BEST!) LOOK UP AT THE CLOUDS LIKE WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD . AND NOTICE YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY IF YOU HAVE OTHERS IN YOUR ‘BUBBLE’.  CHERISH THIS TIME BECAUSE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT YOU MIGHT BE BACK INTO ‘THE OLD GRIND’ . BACK ‘ON THE TREADMILL’ . AND CHILDREN BACK INTO TOO MANY ACTIVITIES WHEN PLAYING AT HOME MIGHT BE JUST THE ‘LESSONS’ THEY NEED!
