Have you ever heard of ‘The Marsh Family” singers on YouTube?

The Marsh Family are an English family musical group. The group consists of parents Ben and Danielle Marsh and their children Alfie, Thomas, Ella, and Tess Marsh. The family live in Faversham, a town in Kent in South East England.

Having sung and played together since the kids were born, they started sharing their music publicly and went viral with several parodies about lockdown life during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The song parody I have copied and pasted above is their latest one about getting the jab to the tune of “Oklahoma”.

Every single person in the family can hold a note and sing harmony and I just love their “Lockdown” music.

The dad, Dr Ben Marsh, grew up in Oxfordshire, completed his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Cambridge (Downing College), and subsequently taught at Brunel University (2001-2), the University of Oxford, where he was a Lecturer in Colonial & Revolutionary American History (2002-4).

Mum, Danielle Marsh, Research Programmes Coordinator in Education & Student Experience.

I think the first video I ever saw of their family performing was a parody of Les Mis. They are so funny and right on!

If you want some family internet fun just check out the Marsh family in the link above (copy and paste in your browser)and all their other vids will appear. So talented and such a fun way to “sing away the Covid blues”.
