Family Painting Day
We were only in Windsor, Ontario, for one week but we still managed to fit in a painting day with my family.
My mum has been getting into making her own cards for quite some time and I just love how she has now set up her very own painting space in the kitchen/dining area for her art area.
She met up with some weird man the day we painted but she managed to overcome her fear and paint anyway…ha ha ha.
Dad shared his latest album of paintings with me and it’s incredible how many he has done since we were together last May.
I’ve included 2 of his paintings that I loved and the one he was still working on by the time we had to fly home. I’m SO proud of my artistic parents.
My parents always kindly let us use their art supplies so we know that we can just set up and….go!
Terry showed up a bit later that day but because he chose to do a palette knife painting, he completed his artwork in about 20 minutes. I love it! He made up an image of winter trees near a mountain.
I worked on my “Ways To Get There” bus but it took me ‘an entire bus trip around the city’ to complete it. Ha Ha. It is an acrylic on paper from an image I photographed one wintry day in Edmonton.
Added to the experience was a nice, hot coffee paired with my mum’s freshly baked cranberry/banana loaf piece. Yum!
Love my family.
